Duncan Ross Ltd has been involved with the Civil Engineering Industry for many years providing support to the industry in association with all aspects of land drainage applications. Recent Projects:- Client: Manchester United Football Club Project: Renewal of site outlet at Carrington Training Ground Design: MUFC’s Consultants. The site for Manchester United’s training ground was originally constructed with a drainage outlet that was too small for requirements. In addition the pumping station was proving to also be inadequate. The project involved replacing the original outlet with a larger, 1050mm diameter outlet pipe approximately 500m long. The challenged face in this scenario was that work was undertaken through a conservation area. Client: M.S.C.C. Project: Renewal of existing toe of embankment drains to canal affected by mining subsidence. Design: Bridgewater Canal’s Engineers Major challenges: Where supporting the unstable embankments, while excavating and backfilling at the toe of the embankment, access to the work site. Works involved laying 300mm pipes and backfilling with gravel in trenches lined with geo-textile. Work was successfully completed finding solutions for unforseen problems on site as they developed. Client: Barnfield Ltd Project: Installation of large water supply for new hotel and leisure centre complex. Project was completed on time and within budget. |
